Salyer-Waterman works at the Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies department. She assists with conference programming of sessions for NCORE and NCORE Connections, manages mass emails and social media, and is lead for the NCORE Webinar Series and the Reels on Human Relations Film Festival.

Salyer-Waterman is also experienced in multi camera and single camera productions. She has worked as a producer, assistant director, gaffer, and editor. Other experience includes working in radio and live sports broadcasts.
