Stephanie Salyer-Waterman works with the Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies (SWCHRS) at the University of Oklahoma, where she supports the development and delivery of professional learning programs focused on human relations and higher education. She assists with conference and institute programming, including the Higher Ed Hive and Hope in Higher Ed Summit, and supports SWCHRS communications, including email marketing, social media, and digital content. She also contributes to the development and production of SWCHRS webinars and other online learning programs.

Previously, Salyer-Waterman supported programming for NCORE (National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in Higher Education) and the Reels on Human Relations Film Festival, both former SWCHRS programs.

Salyer-Waterman is an independent filmmaker who grew up in Southeast Missouri and the Philippines. She holds two terminal degrees: a Master of Fine Arts in Film and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Mass Communication. She brings extensive experience in multi-camera and single-camera production, having worked as a producer, assistant director, gaffer, and editor. Her additional production experience includes radio and live sports broadcasting.
