Summary

Salyer-Waterman works at the Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies department. She assists with conference session programming for NCORE and NCORE Connections, manages mass emails and social media, and is lead for the NCORE Webinar Series and the Reels on Human Relations Film Festival.

Salyer-Waterman is also experienced in multi camera and single camera productions. She has worked as a producer, assistant director, gaffer, and editor. Other experience includes working in radio and live sports broadcasts.

Work History

Senior Program Coordinator – University of Oklahoma
Norman, OK 4/2024 to present

  • Work for the Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies (SWCHRS) and the National
    Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE), which hosts more than 5000 attendees for the
    in-person conference. Lead tech support on regularly held webinars.
  • Assist team with programming sessions for NCORE and NCORE Virtual Connections.
    Programming tasks include session invites, scheduling sessions, and tracking cancellations. Use
    CVENT Abstract Management for proposal submissions and CVENT platform to keep sessions
    updated and provide on-site communication to attendees.
  • Host presenter and attendee webinars for community members. Communicate and meet with
    community members for the NCORE Conference. On-site NCORE conference, run live keynote
    sessions.
  • Team Lead for the Student Scholars program. Make student selections and communicate with
    each new year’s Student Scholar cohort. Create the Student Scholars schedule and run the on-site
    program with Student Scholars.
  • Create social media graphics. Make all social media posts (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and
    Instagram) and monitor accounts. Create newsletters and notification emails for mailing list
    (80,000 subscribers)
  • Team lead for the Webinar Series and the Film Festival. Gather registration of webinars and
    festival submissions.
  • Edit all recordings of webinars and meetings. Upload to Youtube and handle marketing of
    recordings.
  • Update and maintain SWCHRS and NCORE websites within Evoq.
